A roundtable on the topic Implementation of Participatory Budgeting in the City of Volodymyr-Volynskyi chaired by Deputy Mayor Larysa Kulikova and attended by expert of the MFSI-II Project was held at the Volodymyr-Volynskyi City Council on 17 May.

Olena Nyzhnyk, deputy director of the Department of Financial Policy at IBSER, explained to the participants the main goal and benefits of budgeting with participation of citizens for city residents. The Training Manager of SocialBoost NGO, Kateryna Sidalo presented the Citizens’ Project website and showed how to use this resource. The expert of the Institute for Regional Development, Andrii Pelekhatyi explained in detail what projects specifically had the best chances of winning in the competition of projects, and, thus, be implemented with budget funds in 2018. The roundtable participants discussed the Draft Regulation of Participatory Budgeting in the City of Volodymyr-Volynskyi and provided their comments and suggestions.
