62 Projects to Be Funded through Capital City’s Participatory Budgeting This Year

Voting for the first Kyiv participatory budget ended on 29 January. The Kyiv residents submitted the total of 319 projects costing UAH 220 million. In the course of the vote, 51,000 capital city’s residents cast 112,294 votes to support their chosen initiatives.

On 31 January, the Kyiv City State Administration announced 62 projects, which received the greatest number of votes. The Kyiv budget allocated UAH 50mn for their implementation. The majority of winning projects are related to education (18), sport (13), municipal services (8), and environment (8). The highest ranking project was supported by 1,946 votes and the lowest by 795.
