On June 19, the expert team of the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research presented the results of the analysis of the financing system of the Andrushivka city territorial community of Zhytomyr region in terms of consideration of the needs of children and youth.
The online meeting was held within the framework of the project “Improving Budgeting for Children in Communities”, implemented by IBSER with the support of the UN Children's Fund UNICEF. Vyacheslav Zubenko, Director General of IBSER, thanked the community for their active cooperation and noted that the prepared report will be the basis for further work on providing technical support to the community. In particular, based on the expert recommendations, a technical support plan for 2025-2026 will be formed, which will be provided under the project.

The importance of supporting and developing the most valuable resource of communities - children and youth - was emphasized by Andriy Kornienko, UNICEF National Consultant on Child-Centered Public Finance Management, Investment and Social Protection, and Olena Tymchenko, a social policy consultant and researcher.

As a result of the meeting, further steps of cooperation between the community and IBSER were identified to improve approaches to management and budgeting for children and youth.
