On November 19, the Korosten City Council, which is participating in the project "Strengthening child-focused budgeting at the subnational level", approved the updated Procedure for the development, financing, and monitoring of local target programs and reporting on their implementation. The local government updated this document in accordance with the recommendations of the expert team of the Institute for Budget and Socio-Economic Research, in particular regarding the integration of gender-oriented and inclusive approaches to the budgeting and program development process.
"We especially note the contribution of the expert team to the integration of gender-oriented and inclusive approaches to the programming and budgeting process. The recommendations and methodological materials provided allowed us to increase attention to equal opportunities for women and men, girls and boys in the planning, evaluation, and implementation of local programs, which is an important element of improving the quality of management decisions in the community," the city council said in a letter.
The project is being implemented with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine.
