At the beginning of March, the expert team of the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research (IBSER) held working discussions on the report analyzing the local budget with a focus on children's needs for the specialists of the Korosten City Territorial Community in Zhytomyr Oblast.
During the meetings, the team presented key findings and identified trends, particularly regarding the effectiveness of budget fund utilization, the structure of social protection in the community, strategic planning, the child-focus of local targeted programs, gender policies within the community, and more. A list of recommendations was also provided.
The IBSER team will continue to offer the community advisory support and guidance throughout all processes necessary for implementing the recommendations. Additionally, based on the report, a technical support plan for the community will be developed, which will include trainings, consultations, and analysis of local targeted programs.
The meetings were held as part of the implementation of the project "Improving Child-Focused Budgeting," carried out by the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research at the request and with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
