The Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research (IBSER) received a letter from the Mena City Council (Chernihiv Oblast), in which they expressed gratitude to the IBSER team for the presentation of the report on the results of the analysis of the community financing system with regard to the needs of children and youth.
“It is worth noting the relevance of the study conducted with the support of UNICEF and the usefulness of the issues discussed related to improving budgeting processes and improving the quality of services in such critical areas for children and youth as education, health care, social protection, youth policy, etc. The community considers the recommendations developed by your organization aimed at effective and inclusive approaches to managing financial resources in the interests of children, youth and families to be extremely useful. We believe that further work in this area will help to improve the processes of planning, allocation and use of finances in the priority areas of community activities,” the letter reads.
The meeting was held on May 19, and its participants discussed important issues related to improving budget processes and improving the quality of services in areas such as education, healthcare, social protection, and youth policy.
The expert team of the project “Improving Budgeting for Children in Communities”, implemented by the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research with the support of UNICEF, will continue to provide comprehensive support to the community to implement initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of children, youth and community development in general.
