On November 6, 2024, the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research (IBSER), together with UNICEF, officially presented the “Strengthening Child-Oriented Budgeting in Hromadas” project, which is implemented with the support of the Government of Germany. The project aims to enhance the capacity of national and local authorities to implement budgeting processes that reflect the needs and priorities of children and youth. Special attention is given to supporting early childhood development, promoting gender-responsive budgeting, and ensuring access to clean water and hygiene for children.
The project began in August 2024 and will run through March 2026. Throughout this period, IBSER experts will provide consultations, conduct training sessions, prepare analytical reports with tailored recommendations, and develop dashboards to support effective financial management in the hromada.
These efforts will contribute to building more transparent and efficient budgeting tools that align with the priorities and needs of children and youth in the Mena territorial hromada.
We are grateful to all participants for their active engagement! Together, we are building better conditions for our children’s development and strengthening the future of our country.
