Specialists of the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research together with the team of the Center for Information and Analytical Technologies have developed a video course “Budget Process in Local Self-Government Bodies”.
The video course consists of seven modules, which are combined into 10 videos lasting 7-10 minutes each. In a simple, easy-to-understand manner, each module informs about how the budget process works in local governments and why it is key to ensuring sustainable regional development and efficient use of financial resources. The video course explains what a local budget forecast is, how the preparation, drafting, review, and approval of a community budget is carried out, how and why to analyze the results of local budget implementation, and also contains interesting information about international experience that helps to implement best practices and innovative approaches in the budget process.
