Meeting at the Ministry of Finance
On 22 September, 2009 IBSER experts and MFSI project’s regional consultants met with the Head of the Local Budgets Department of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Galyna Karp, and the department’s staffers to present and agree on the PPB methodology implementation, methods of monitoring and the techniques of evaluating the experiment in MFSI project pilot regions, as well as to coordinate further activities on PPB component implementation.
The main goal of the meeting was to discuss key issues of further experiment regarding PPB implementation at the local level according to the MFSI project tasks in what concerns assistance to the GOU, particularly to the Ministry of Finance, in conducting state-supported pilot projects regarding PPB implementation in four pilot regions of Ukraine.
The final variant of the methodology of evaluating the experiment on PPB implementation will be presented for approval by the Ministry of Finance at the next regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Committee planned for November 2009.
