IBSER and Rivne City Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
IBSER and Rivne City Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on 11 March 2010 as part of the MFSI project’s task of assisting the selected cities in identifying and using progressive financial instruments, including credits, joint activities with the private sector, etc., and for implementation of municipal energy saving plans and economic development.
The joint goal of activities under the Memorandum is city's implementation of energy saving projects in accordance with Ukrainian laws and regulations, and with due account for city's current and anticipated financial capacity.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in IBSER office during the meeting with participation of IBSER Director General, Rivne City Mayor and Chief Investment Advisor of the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO). The meeting was organized within the Memorandum of Cooperation between NEFCO and IBSER, and according to the Protocol of Cooperation Intent between the Rivne City Council and IBSER.
The meeting participants discussed the issues related to implementation of an energy conservation project in Rivne supported by NEFCO and intended for upgrading city's heating system.
