IBSER Takes Part in a Meeting of Donor Working Group at Ministry of Housing and Communal Services
On 30 June 2010, experts of the Budgetary Institute, which is implementing the Municipal Finance Strengthening Initiative project, took part in a constitutive meeting on setting up a Donor (technical, project) Working Group at the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, which Group would coordinate activities of all international projects implemented in the housing and communal services sector of Ukraine.
The Ministry’s initiative to establish the Donor Working Group is prompted by the need for coordinating the organizational efforts between the State and international donor organizations with regard to implementation of such projects, improving the system of monitoring and reporting about the effectiveness of projects.
The Ministry anticipates an improved collaboration with the projects funded by international donors in such areas as:
- expert support in drafting the legislative framework;
- joint development of training programs;
- consolidation and dissemination of best practices;
- implementation of analytical research.
