Meeting at the MinHCS

     MFSI project/IBSER experts took part in a meeting of the Public Council at the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services. MFSI/IBSER representatives are members of the Public Council and take an active part in its work. The meeting approved a new version of the Statute of the Public Council and set up an initiative group to prepare the constituency meeting.
     The Public Council activities are carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No.996 “On Assuring the Participation of the Public in the Formulation and Implementation of State Policies,” which was adopted on 3 November 2010.
     This Decree approves the procedure for conducting consultations with the public on the issues of formulating and implementing State policies, as well as a standard statute of a public council attached to an executive branch agency. 
     In the opinion of IBSER experts, the implementation of the provisions of this Decree will make it possible to raise the level of citizen engagement in managing budget funds.
