MFSI Project Assistance in Formulating a PPB-Based 2011 Kyiv Budget
On 7 and 8 December, experts of the MFSI project /IBSER, jointly with the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), conducted consultations for key spending units of the City of Kyiv regarding problem issues that emerged in the course of formulating the 2011 budget programs based on the Performance Program Budgeting (PPB) method. Similar consultations were held on 1 and 3 December.
The MFSI/IBSER assistance is extremely relevant especially now, when the Kyiv City budget is being actively prepared. The practical advice and recommendations of MFSI project experts will make it possible to assure top efficiency in the further planning of the Kyiv City budget for 2011 and for the medium-term according to the requirements of PPB budgeting.
The consultations have become the next step following MFSI/IBSER's delivery of a large-scale series of training events on the formulation of draft programs, draft passports of budgets programs and the draft Kyiv City budget for 2011-2013 based on PPB.
More than 400 specialists from the finance and line departments of the City of Kyiv State Administration, Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council, and directorates of Kyiv District - State administrations passed through the training, which took place in September and October 2010.
