PPB Implementation Recognized as Essential Step in the National Action Plan for 2011 oт Implementation of 2010-2014 Program of Economic Reforms
MFSI project/IBSER experts took part in a regular meeting of the Regional Development and Interbudgetary Relations Reform working group. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance on 28 January 2011 and was chaired by Deputy Minister of Finance Yevhen Kuz'kin.
Discussion at the meeting focused on the proposals to the Draft National Action Plan for 2011 with regard to implementing the 2010-2014 Program of Economic Reforms prepared by the Ministry of Finance, where implementation of Performance Program Budgeting at the level of local budgets is recognized as an essential step towards improving the efficiency of spending at the local level.

The Working Group participants also discussed the need for amending the schedule for implementing reforms by the year 2014 and conducting public debates on the issues of systemic socioeconomic reforms with regard to the reform of the country’s administrative and territorial systems.
