2-nd stage of PPB experiment

PPB implementation extends to new budgets

    In accordance with the Main Approaches approved by Order No.805 of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine dated 2 August 2010, the Ministry of Finance and the Institute of Budget are now launching Phase 2 of the experiment on PPB implementation at the level of local budgets.

    At the 1-st Phase 37 local budgets of Crimea, Zhytomyr, Luhansk and Lviv oblasts, and the city of Kyiv have been selected for participation in the pilot project of local-level PPB-based budget formulation and execution.

    During Phase 2 the rest 81 local budgets of the above-mentioned pilot regions of the MFSI project implemented by IBSER under the USAID support are to be engaged into the PPB-experiment.

    Within the scope of the set objectives, in February 2011 the MFSI/IBSER Project will start conducting a series of coordinating meetings and trainings on PPB implementation at the local level for new participants of the PPB experiment.

    The first coordinating meetings and trainings will be held in Luhansk and Lviv oblasts, with trainings to be delivered in all Project pilot regions by the end of June 2011.
