Competitive Selection of Ukrainian Cities to Participate in the MFSI-II Project
As part of the implementation of the Municipal Finance Strengthening Initiative (MFSI-II) Roll-out Project, the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research (IBSER) has conducted a competitive selection of Ukrainian cities to participate in the Project. The winning cities will be assisted in building a system for monitoring the energy costs of municipal budgets; developing and implementing the financial incentives to promote the creation of effective energy saving systems in the public sector; building the capacity of communal service enterprises to carry out modern financial analysis and planning to support their strategic and annual planning documents, and conducting monitoring and evaluations of energy performance projects.
This collaboration will result in financially sound energy efficiency programs being developed and implemented, in particular, funding from International Financial Institutions.
