Interregional Conference/Consultation for Coordinators of PPB Implementation at the Local Budget Level
IBSER continues to actively support the implementation of the Performance Program Budgeting method of planning and execution of local budgets.
Working with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Institute organized and conducted an interregional conference and workshop for coordinators of PPB implementation at the level of Local budgets. The event was held in Kyiv on 3 August 2012. The participants included 47 representatives of Finance Directorates and key spending units from Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Zhytomyr oblasts and the City of Kyiv.
During the conference, the participants shared the experience and achievements they developed thanks to PPB implementation. They had an opportunity to discuss proposals with regard to the ways of improving the methodology and ask questions related to PPB-based budget formation.
This event also launched a new series of PPB conferences. In August through November 2012, such events will be held in Sevastopol, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Rivne, and Kharkiv and will reach local specialists from across Ukraine.
