MFSI-II Project Helps the City of Pavlohrad to Prepare Its Energy Saving Project
Thanks to cooperation between the Municipal Finance Strengthening Initiative Project (MFSI-II) Roll-out and Pavlohrad, the city will be able to implement its energy saving project.
During their collaboration with the city, the MFSI-II Project experts conducted assessment of its creditworthiness, provided assistance in drafting City Council resolutions and applications to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine to get borrowing approvals, and other essential documents.
As the result of this effort, the city of Pavlohrad and the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) have concluded a credit agreement for implementation of the Partial Thermal Modernization of the Buildings of Children’s Preschool Institutions in the City of Pavlohrad Project.
This project will involve replacement of window panes, installation of new automated equipment of heating points, improvement of the heat insulation of pipelines, and installation of heat meters.
Implementation of this project will have an environmental and economic effect with an estimated reduction of city budget costs by UAH 942,000 per year and reduction of CO2 emissions by 269 tonnes per year.
