On 29 March 2013, MFSI-II held a seminar: Planning and evaluation efficiency, including those of energy saving projects, as a guarantee of achievement of strategic objectives. The event was attended by the representatives of communal service enterprises and executive committees of city councils that participate in the project.
The seminar focused on the methodology of monitoring and evaluating energy efficiency projects and recommendations on the financial justification of strategic documents by communal service enterprises in the context of city development priorities.
In addition, representatives from Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Chernihiv gave presentations on the experience of their communal service enterprises in attracting investments and implementing energy saving projects. MFSI-II had assisted the executive committees of the city councils in preparing the documents needed for implementing these projects.
The content of this seminar will enable communal service enterprises to apply modern approaches to developing their strategic and planning documents as well as in implementing effective monitoring and evaluation of individual energy saving projects. This would contribute to strengthening the capacity of communal service enterprises in effective planning, management, and implementation of energy savings projects.
