MFSI-II Project Continues Work on Implementing PPB-based local budgets
On 26 April 2013, the MFSI-II Project took part in a meeting of the Interbudgetary Relations Reform task force. The meeting was also attended by the Ministry of Finance, Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee, and the State Treasury.
This meeting focused on progress in realizing the 2013 National Action Plan within the 2010-2014 Program of Economic Reforms. One element of the reform is the implementation of PPB-based local budgets.
The task force members made a special emphasis on the Project’s effective work in implementing the Performance Program Budgeting method for planning and execution of local budgets. It specifically thanked the Project’s timely and high-quality delivery of trainings, due to which the 2013 budget programs and passports of budget programs in all areas using budget funds have been approved on time.
The task force members also set out the ways for accelerating the work on improving the software for the timely implementation of planning and execution of PPB-based local budgets.
