Ivano-Frankivsk to Complete Energy Efficiency Project with MFSI-II Support
The city of Ivano-Frankivsk received approval from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine to borrow the additional funding needed for the "Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildings of Educational Institutions in Ivano-Frankivsk" project. The Municipal Finance Strengthening Initiative (MFSI II) Implementation project supported the municipality throughout the approval process.
The city’s project is designed to implement a number of energy efficiency measures in nine municipal budgetary institutions. The project aims to reduce heat energy consumption while ensuring a warm place for children in educational institutions. The project will have a significant environmental impact, including a CO2 reduction of 415.7 tons / year and saving 2,057,998 kWh of energy each year.
The successful completion of the "Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildings of Educational Institutions in Ivano-Frankivsk" project is of great social and economic importance and it will play a key role in improving energy efficiency in the city.
