Myrhorod City Educational Institutions Reduce Energy Consumption
With support from the Municipal Finance Strengthening Initiative Roll-out (MFSI-II) Project, the City of Myrhorod has obtained borrowing approval from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for implementing the Improving the Energy Efficiency in the Buildings of Myrhorod City Educational Institutions Project.
The main goal of the city’s project is to reduce energy consumption by municipal educational institutions, as well as to introduce energy efficient technologies and equipment. Implementing the project will improve the environment in the institutions during school hours, thus contributing to better health of students, thus raising the quality of education.
The implementation of this project will also have a significant environmental impact. In particular, annual electric energy consumption will be reduced by 32,693 kWh and СО2 emissions will be cut by 105.8 metric tons.
