MFSI-II Takes Part in Establishing an Effective Energy Saving System in Zhytomyr
The Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) invited MFSI-II to take part in a working meeting on 6 August 2013, devoted to introducing a mechanism for accumulation and use of energy cost savings in the public sector of the city of Zhytomyr.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Zhytomyr city administration led by city mayor, head of NEFCO office in Ukraine, and representatives of the Energy Saving in Administrative and Public Buildings of the Kyiv City Project Implementation Group (KP GVP) municipal utility.
The KP GVP representatives shared their experience of implementation of a system for monitoring adequate temperatures in the Kyiv municipal educational institutions. The MFSI-II presented their groundwork with regard to the mechanism of accumulation and use of energy cost savings in the public sector.
The meeting results will facilitate joint efforts of the city of Zhytomyr and MFSI-II towards:
- providing a justification for the possibility of using energy cost savings within the framework of the existing legislation for the city of Zhytomyr; and
- implementing a system of financial incentives for efficient use of energy resources in public institutions for the city of Zhytomyr.
