Public Presentation of Results from PPB Implementation in Ivano-Frankivsk

   A roundtable on the topic of Implementation of the Performance Program Budgeting Method in Ivano-Frankivsk was held with support from the Institute for Budgetary and Socio-Economic Research in Ivano-Frankivsk on 24 June 2014. This public event was attended by representatives of the City Council, key spending units of the municipal budget, and members of the press.

   In the course of the meeting the participants discussed the general issues of PPB implementation, characterized the effectiveness of using the budget funds, shared their experiences of formulation of budget programs, and described the benefits from conducting the performance monitoring and evaluation.
   Conducting a public discussion of the above issues will make it possible to improve the transparency of municipal budget execution and inform the public about the results of conducting the experiment of PPB implementation.
