User Training Launched for E-Data Unified Public Funds Spending Web Portal

MFSI-II experts in partnership with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, have launched a series of training events for users of the E-Data unified public funds spending Web portal. The first training workshops were held on 17 and 18 November 2015 for spending units of the city of Kyiv. The trainees were introduced to the functionalities of the Web portal and trained in the provision of quality information for reports, contracts, and creation of personal profiles for each government-funded institution, the so-called "offices."
By the middle of December 2015, MFSI-II experts will deliver similar trainings for key spending units of local budgets for another four pilot regions of the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Ternopil, and Chernivtsi oblasts.
A User Guide for E-Data Unified Public Funds Spending Web Portal was developed and published.
This work will assure common approaches to the submission of information on use of budget funds in a format understandable for the general public, will step up the proactive participation of local communities in the budget process, and strengthen the transparency of public funds.
