Joint MOF and NAB Meeting: Local Budgets under Tax Reform and Decentralization

On 28 January 2016, the Ukrainian Minister of Finance Natalia Yaresko chaired a joint meeting of the Ministry of Finance and the National Advisory Board on public finance management on the topic Local Budgets under Tax Reform and Decentralization.
The meeting was attended by department heads and lead specialists from the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Social Policy, State Treasury Service, as well as oblast and Kyiv City State Administration finance directors.
The participants have discussed the progress of reforms to date and further steps on the road to fiscal and budget decentralization with the aim of creating a new, quality system of inter-budget relations.
The MOF leadership have especially noted years of experience of IBSER specialists in providing methodological assistance and delivering training seminars on budget issues, and underlined that further work with associated territorial communities will be conducted with participation of MFSI-II experts.
