The project was implemented under the financial support of the Slovak Agency for International Development (Slovak AID) in cooperation with a Slovak partner, Center for Economic and Social Analysis “M.E.S.A. 10”.
The main goal of the project was to provide institutional support to increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian cities and regions in a market economy.
The Project focused on the analysis of the legal and regulatory framework to suggest further steps to be taken for increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian territories:
- proposal of establishing a network of institutions that will ensure and support regional development;
- proposal of strengthening the financial position of communities through increasing the share of own-source revenues in local budgets;
- technical assistance for preparing development strategies in the selected cross-border regions.
