Training on Implementation of Performance Program Budgeting Delivered in Chernivtsi

On 13 September, in the City of Chernivtsi, experts of the MFSI-II Project delivered training on implementation of Performance Program Budgeting at the level of local budgets.
The training was organized by the Department of Finance of the Chernivtsi Oblast State Administration and the Chernivtsi Regional Retraining and Qualifications Advancement Center for the Employees of Government Agencies, Local Governments, State Enterprises, Institutions, and Organizations. The event was intended to implement the requirements of the Budget Code of Ukraine with regard to implementation in 2017 of Performance Program Budgeting for the local budgets, which have relations with the state budget.
The training was attended by specialists of the Finance Departments of oblast and raion state administrations, executive bodies of city councils of oblast-significant cities, newly established
united territorial communities, representatives of the territorial communities, which have the intention to unite according to the Plan for the formation of community territories, and the key spending units of local budgets.
More than 150 financial officers were introduced to the main principles of the budget process at the level of local budgets based on Performance Program Budgeting.
Experts of the MFSI-II Project provided practical assistance to the training participants with regard to the performance of the appropriate preparatory and organizational work for developing draft local budgets for the year 2017 based on Performance Program Budgeting.
