Training on Implementation of Performance Program Budgeting Conducted in Kropyvnytskyi

On 15 September, in the City of Kropyvnytskyi, experts of the MFSI-II Project delivered training on the issues of implementation of Performance Program Budgeting at the level of local budgets.
The training was organized by Finance Department of the Kirovohrad Oblast State Administration and the Kirovohrad Regional Center for Retraining and Qualification Advancement of the Employees of Government Agencies, Local Governments, State Enterprises, Institutions, and Organizations. The event was intended to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Budget Code of Ukraine with regard to implementation in 2017 of Performance Program Budgeting for the local budgets, which have mutual relations with the state budget.
The trainees included specialists of Finance Departments of the oblast and raion state administrations, executive bodies of city councils of oblast-significant cities, newly est
ablished united territorial communities, representatives of the territorial communities, which intend to unite according to the Plan for the formation of community territories, and the key spending units of local budgets.
More than 100 specialists of Finance Departments have familiarized themselves with the main principles of the budget process at the level of local budgets in the Performance Program Budgeting format.
Experts of the MFSI-II Project have provided practical assistance to the training participants in their conducting the relevant preparatory and organizational activities for developing draft local budgets for the year 2017 based on Performance Program Budgeting.
