Chernivtsi Residents Join in Changing Their City

During festivities of the Chernivtsi City Day on 1 October 2016, the United States Agency for International Development presented the key areas of its work in the city. The Mistechko USAID presented 12 projects and organizations collaborating with the United States Agency for International Development and implementing projects directly in Chernivtsi and in its neighboring territorial communities.
From the MFSI-II Project, the Chernivtsi citizens learned about the budget of city initiatives, which allows city residents to participate in the how and where the budget funds could be used for improving life in their city. Experts have familiarized the visitors to the event with the Citizens’ Project system, where citizens can submit their own projects and vote for projects of other residents online. The experts have also told about the projects already submitted by citizens. The Chernivtsi residents will be able to vote for them starting on 10 October. The projects to receive the greatest number of votes will be implemented against the funds of the city budget in 2017.
