A working meeting at the Administration of the President of Ukraine

      IBSER took part in a working meeting on the implementation status regarding the experiment intended to reform the healthcare systems in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Vinnytsya oblasts and the city of Kyiv. The conference was held at the Principal Directorate for Reform of the Social Sphere at the Administration of the President on 2 August 2011.
     The meeting, which was also attended by the Ministries of Finance and Health, focused on the issue of introducing a new mechanism for financing healthcare institutions in the pilot regions.
     It should be noted that the Law of Ukraine "On conducting an Experiment on the Implementation of the Public Health System reform in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and the Vinnytsya Oblasts" defines the use of the Performance Program Budgeting (PPB) method as an instument for improving the quality of services provided through budget funds as well as one of the key components to implementing the reform of the healthcare system.
     IBSER was invited to participate in this active collaboration due to its extensive experience and the results of the MFSI Project in the pilot implementation of PPB at the local level.
