MFSI-II Coordinating Meetings in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk

  IBSER held the interregional coordinating seminars on introducing the Performance Program Budgeting method of planning and execution of local budgets in Dnipropetrovsk on 10 November and in Donetsk on 11 November 2011. The events were arranged jointly with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine under the Municipal Finance Strengthening Project (MFSI-II) Roll-out.
  The participants in Dnipropetrovsk included directors of Oblast Finance Directorates and heads of Finance Directorates of oblast-significance cities from Dnipropetrovska, Poltavska, Zaporizhska oblasts. The participants in Donetsk included directors of Oblast Finance Directorates and heads of Finance Directorates of oblast-significance cities from Donetska and Kharkivska oblasts.
   The seminars are part of the further expansion of the PPB experiment. MFSI-II includes bringing all budgets of oblast-significant cities, all oblast budgets, as well as the district budgets of the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Vinnytsya oblasts into the State PPB implementation experiment starting in 2012.
